Saving one horse won't change the world, but surely, the world will change for that one horse. (and their people!)
Honey's predicament came to us via a friend of Honey's people and fellow Blabber. As one who as a young girl knew of a crippled colt we called Bucky and had my heart tore out when his people shipped him to slaughter despite us kids begging for his life this story brings it all back. They didn't give him or us a chance, throwing him over the top of the truck that was loaded with other horses this kill buyer had picked up.
I believe in second chances and these people are trying to do just that. As one who has a crippled filly herself, my beloved Bonnie, I know how adaptable and tough horses can be and as long as my Bonnie is happy and healthy she has a forever home. Just because she isn't perfect doesn't mean she should just be thrown away like yesterday's trash.
God bless these folks. I anxiously await more news as I will help where I can.
